State Income Tax

State Income Tax is an additional income tax levied by a state on employees who have a sufficient connection to the state.

To determine if the employee is to have a state income tax deduction and in a continuing effort to increase efficiency in our tax reporting obligations, each new hire who has an out-of-state residence address must complete the Employee State Income Tax (SIT) Packet and submit along with the paperwork that is attached to the new hire EPA.

This does not need to be done for new hires who reside in the following states since they do not levy a state income tax:

Alaska
Florida
Nevada
New Hampshire
South Dakota
Texas
Tennessee
Washington
Wyoming
